We Rock For Autism
We Rock for Autism is 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to raising awareness and acceptance for autism by promoting music, art, events, families and businesses that “rock” by supporting the cause. Our goal is to help children with autism receive music and art therapy, musical instruments or players, as well as communication devices. Our foundation is supported by your donations.
Autism Speaks is an organization that was founded in 2005 for nearly the same reasons that we founded this website. Over the past 9 years, the website has raised literally millions of dollars and is now the leading autism advocacy organization.
The NINDS is actually a part of the National Institutes of Health, and it’s been around for quite some time – much longer than Autism Speaks, and no less important. Founded in 1950, the NINDS has held strong to their mission: “To seek fundamental knowledge about the brain and nervous system and to use that knowledge to reduce the burden of neurological disease.
The Autism Society is another great organization that’s been around for ages. In 1965, the society was founded with the same goals in mind as NINDS and Autism Speaks. They have also been instrumental in many pieces of state and local legislation since day one. this is another organization that will give you reliable and trustworthy information.
